The Directors, Headteacher, children, staff and parents of Smallwood Primary Academy wish to appoint a new member to their team of teaching staff. Would you like an exciting opportunity to join a great team in a fabulous location with outstanding children? We have a temporary maternity cover contract for a full time Class Teacher. We are looking for a colleague with experience of teaching in any phase/year group, with a proven track record of raising standards and meeting targets. The successful candidate will be a team player with high expectations of themselves, their colleagues and the children. We are looking to recruit an imaginative, artistic and creative teacher. A teacher who takes initiatives and creates a classroom environment where every child enthuses about their learning journey. We are committed to safeguarding our children and enhanced DBS checks with pre-employment checks on the successful candidate's suitability for the post will be carried out as part of our selection process. CARETAKER/MAINTENANCE Employer: Smallwood CofE Primary Salary: Salary: Grade 4, £23,500-£23,144 pro rata. Hourly rate £12.18 Location: Smallwood CofE Primary Contract: Temporary Working Pattern: Part Time Hours: 25 HPW 42 Weeks Per Year DBS Check: Enhanced Closing Date: 01/04/2024 Job descriptionStart: ASAP 42 weeks per year Permanent, Part Time (subject to a 6month probationary period) We are seeking to appoint a motivated individual to join our school and lead on our caretaking duties. The role requires carrying out daily, weekly and monthly checks on our building. We would like someone with a range of skills that can support the maintenance of the building such as joinery, painting and decorating, outdoor duties, general DIY tasks. The post will involve a shift pattern 8am-11am and 3pm-5pm. The role will require opening of the building and occasional call outs. The role will be permanent based on 42 working weeks per year subject to a 6 month probationary period. It is essential that the successful candidate is able to communicate clearly with children and adults in a calm and respectful manner, be reliable and trustworthy, and work within the school’s policies and procedures.
