CARETAKER/MAINTENANCE

Job description

42 weeks per year Permanent, Part Time (subject to a 6month probationary period)

We are seeking to appoint a motivated individual to join our school and lead on our caretaking duties. The role requires carrying out daily, weekly and monthly checks on our building. We would like someone with a range of skills that can support the maintenance of the building such as joinery, painting and decorating, outdoor duties, general DIY tasks. The post will involve a shift pattern 9am-12pm and 3pm-5pm. The role will require opening of the building and occasional call outs. The role will be permanent based on 42 working weeks per year subject to a 6 month probationary period.

It is essential that the successful candidate is able to communicate clearly with children and adults in a calm and respectful manner, be reliable and trustworthy, and work within the school’s policies and procedures.

Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
