Water work shop with the United Utilities

Date: 11th Mar 2022 @ 4:09pm

Ash class were learning all about water on Wednesday! The fabulous workshop was ran by the United Utilities and taught us all lots of interesting facts!
We learnt about the water cycle and took part in a dance to show every aspect of the cycle and the fact that it kept going. Our science experiment looked at 'flushable' wipes and toilet paper. We predicted that the 'flushable' wipes would break down in the same way as toilet paper......we were wrong the wipe stayed intact and the toilet paper broke down into lots of little pieces meaning it would flush and not cause any blockage!
We had a lifeguard who taught us all about water safety and how to look after ourselves near reservoirs and lakes! We had lots of dressing up and giggles throughout the morning!

We have started looking closely into Wales and some children have really enjoyed talking about the castles and beaches they have visited in Wales.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Have fun! Miss Bradbury x
